Actress Anne Meara, mother of Ben Stiller, dies at 85 |

LOS ANGELES Anne Meara Dead: Mother Of Ben Stiller  (TheBlaze/AP) body and comedienne Anne Meara, the celebrity gained, as half of the Stiller & Meara comedy team and went to star in TV and film, has died. She was 85.

Her husband, Jerry Stiller, and son Ben Stiller say Meara died Saturday. No other details were made available.

It has "Husband and partner in life." in a statement to the associated Jerry Stiller describes press on Sunday as Meara Stiller family

"The two were married and worked together almost as long 61 years", said the statement.

The pair occurred as Stiller & Meara "The Ed Sullivan Show" and other programs in the 1960s and awards for radio and TV commercials, made them together. O'Meara has also appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows, including a long-standing role in "All My Children" and recurring roles on "Rhoda," "Sex and the City" and "King of Queens". She was twice for an Emmy Award for her supporting role in "Archie bunker it place," along with three other Emmy nods, most recently in 1997 nominated for her guest starring role in "Homocide." Meara also won the Writers Guild Award for 1983 TV movie "The other woman."

In addition to Jerry Stiller and Ben Stiller Meara was survived by her daughter Amy, and several grandchildren.
